Ruffles, tabs, corsets – I was interested in old court fashion for a long time. I love to watch tv series like Reign (about the Mary I Stuart, queen of Scots) to admire the amazing costumes. I was extremely inspired by the historic trend that we could see on the runways. It was leitmotif of Alexander McQueen spring 2016 collection for instance. In the beginning of the fall we could see ruffles everywhere – on trousers, sweaters, blazers and most importantly on shirts. The one that I chose is from H&M and I fell in love with it’s color and pattern. That kind of piece can be quite daring, so I matched it with classic mom jeans, white sneakers and long coat, to add a more casual style – the one that I like the most 🙂
