Every minimalist love Celine, Stella McCartney and The Row. Too bad they have such an expensive clothes. But it doesn’t mean that there aren’t any affordable minimalist brand on the market, besides high street stores like Cos or Arket, that you can afford.
I recently found out some of the amazing designers, well known and valued in the word, that most of the Polish women aren’t familiar with. That’s why I decided to wrote this post and introduce you to the amazing minimalist brands that offer amazing clothes.
Ganni
One of my biggest discovery this year is Danish brand Ganni from Copenhagen. It is well known for its cozy sweaters, cool T-shirts, printed skirts and dresses. But what this brand is really all about is an overall fashionable casual style. Ditte Reffstrup, Ganni creative director, wanted to make clothes for young women who like to dress chic and comfortable at the same time. Ganni is one of Kate Bosworth’s favorite brands that’s why she invented the hashtag #GanniGirls and created a worldwide Ganni obsession. I especially love brands printed skirts and funny T-shirts, which for the record costs the same amount as in Cos etc.
One of #Ganni’sGirls is a Danish blogger Tine Andrea.
Nanushka
„We believe that if a garment is designed to function well, it will by definition be beautiful.” Nanushka is a Hungarian brand established in London by a London Collage of Fashion graduate Sandra Sandor. Every minimalist would fell in love with its simple aesthetics. In fall collection you can find a contrast between warm and cold tones. Navy pieces are matched with warm brownes and somehow it all look amazing! I especially love long jumper dresses and soft looking pants.
Fall must have was the fake leather brown jacket coat which you can find below.
Toteme
We’ve known her trough an amazing blog. Style by Kling was a phenomenon and one of the first blogs ever that started the blogging madness. After few years of creating an online content Elin Kling decided to close the platform, but not to leave fashion. A Swedish icon known for her minimalist and Scandinavian approach decided to establish her own fashion brand called Toteme.
Brand, that she created with her husband in New York, is full of classic Elin Kling’s pieces. Cashmere camel jumpers, perfectly fitted jeans and brown teddy bear coats. As all the minimalist girls I want them all!
This season Toteme had its first fashion show. In the front row you could see a lot of important Scandinavian journalists and fashion editors for instance Jeanette Madsen, Costume fashion editor.
Rodebjer
I know that almost all of the brands that I mention in this article are Scandinavian but what can I say if in the North exactly designers has the best sense of minimal style? Rodebjer is a well known brand established in 1999 r. in New York by a Swedish designer Carine Rodebjer. This brand stands for quality more than any other. Women all over the world love its unisex shapes, oversized clothes and soft, delicate fabrics. Too bad it is not as popular in Poland as anywhere else.
One of the best Rodebjer ambassadors is Danish blogger Tine Andrea.
Joseph
In England people are not afraid to wear daring colors, but British avant grade style is not really my thing. Beside Joseph brand, which I totally adore. This British brand established by Joseph Ettedgui has almost 50 years now! I love the subtle touch of color in the latest fall collection that somehow despite different shades create a consistent collection. I love mustard items mixed with blue clothes as well as touches of orange mixed with brown. Only Joseph knows how to do contrast in fashion.
Joseph mustard jacket have been seen on Alexandra Carl, fashion editor of Rilka magazine.
Acne Studios
This article wouldn’t been complete without the most iconic minimal brand as Acne Studios. Swedish cult brand is probably on every minimalist dream list, and I know for sure that it is on mine and probably in 5 first positions. Acne Studios has a dualist aesthetics. On the one hand extravagant runways which are really off-duty and on the other hand a classic assortment of great quality sweaters, scarfs and jeans, that creates a basic wardrobe. Not to mention its cute pink bags!
I am a proud owner of Acne Studios Canada Scarf and if I could I would definitely exchange my whole wardrobe on Acne price tag, because one thing that I learned the most recently is quality over quantity.
If you are looking how to wear Acne Studios clothes check out blogger Lydia Elise Millen instagram.
Until next time,
A.
